Tatiana BidoInstagramAbout NewBeauty Jul 27, 2026 Photo by Jernej Graj on Unsplash Patients are walking into aesthetic consultations smarter and savvier than ever, and 2026 is proving it. As treatment options, skin care innovations and new beauty categories multiply by the year, providers are seeing wellness, aesthetics and longevity collide in ways that are reshaping what patients ask for. NewBeauty’s The State of Aesthetics Summer 2026 report, powered by the BeautyEngine platform, breaks down what's actually driving those decisions. Here's what we learned from the first half of the year. Only 9.1 percent of aesthetic patients actually follow a long-term treatment plan with a provider. The rest are figuring it out treatment by treatment: 35.4 percent stick to one procedure at a time, 25.5 percent book only when the mood strikes, and 31.5 percent are juggling multiple concerns with no real strategy tying it together. It’s not that people don’t care. They’ve just never sat down with a provider and mapped out where they’re headed.
