Dermatologists have long treated the condition a little differently depending on a patient’s age, and new research offers some reassurance for families managing it at every stage of life. As reported by HCPLive, a new analysis of tapinarof cream 1% (VTAMA), a once-daily, nonsteroidal treatment already FDA-approved for eczema, found that the cream performed consistently in toddlers and adults alike. Researchers pooled results from two major clinical trials and split participants into four age groups: 2 to 6, 7 to 11, 12 to 17 and adults 18 and older. About 80 percent of the study participants were children.
