Changes in firmness and texture can become more noticeable. And beauty starts to feel less about trying everything new and more about figuring out what’s worth your time. NewBeauty’s The State of Aesthetics Summer 2026 report found that aesthetic priorities peak during these decades. More than a third of respondents, 34.1 percent, say their 40s are when those priorities feel most urgent, followed by 28.8 percent who say their 50s. Only 7.2 percent say they want to age without any aesthetic help at all.
